Here at Womack and Bowman we are currently…
Brushing off the holiday sluggishness.
Getting rid of all the stuff at our studio that doesn’t ‘spark joy’ 😉
Doing our best to stay healthy and virus free.
Moving our bodies in a way that feels good.
Manifesting health, healing and happiness.
Wherever this new year has found YOU, we wish you peace, health and lots of time in the air!
With all of the sparkly fresh New Year energy comes the perfect opportunity to set goals and become re-energized by your dreams and ambitions. What better way to do this (if you are up for it) then with some New Years Resolutions!
According to one commonly cited statistic, only 8 percent of people actually keep their new years resolutions.
Eeek!
According to the study, we are setting too many resolutions and being derailed by small failures.
Hmmm..
How then can we go about setting ourselves up for success with our resolutions?
1. Start small. Make resolutions that you think you can keep.
2. Change one behavior at a time. Unhealthy behaviors develop over the course of time and we need to be patient in order to undo our patterns and habits.
3. Talk about it. Share your experiences and goals with trusted family and friends.
4. Don’t beat yourself up. Perfection is unattainable.
5. Stay focused and don’t give up, no matter how many times you fail initially, keep striving for your goals!
What are your aerial resolutions for 2023?
Perhaps you would like to get stronger or more flexible? Or maybe try a new apparatus? Perhaps perform in a student showcase or take an advanced-level class?
Write down your resolutions (be as specific as possible) in a notebook or easily accessible page on your computer. Next to each resolution write down the exact date in 2023 that you expect to achieve this goal by (accountability is everything!). Set a date in the next week or so to meet with a trusted friend and share your resolutions.
Be sure to review your resolutions often and update them throughout the year.
May 2023 be the year that you keep ALL of those New Years resolutions (well, the aerial ones at least!)!
See you in the air soon!
